We are a small select cattery in Newcastle NSW, breeding  Burmese cats for loving indoor homes throughout Australia. 

Our beautiful cats have excellent pedigreed lines, good health, loving and affectionate temperaments.  Our breeding cats are tested (where such tests are available) for any genetic problems.

***Show News***
At year end 2019, Lady in Lilac has been awarded the best spay cat in the NSW CFA awards, and has also been awarded the best desexed cat in the Burmese Cat Society 2019 awards

March 2019 saw Sukimah Lady in Lilac (Lacey) judged as the runner up best Burmese in the Burmese specialty ring, judged by Barbara La Rocca.

on 11 March, 2018 at the Burmese Cat Society of Australasia show, our girls Tahitian Pearl, Missy and Lacy did well in their rings which included the special Burmese Ring, judged by Peter Williams (UK).   We are very proud of our girls!

In September, 2017 at the Western Districts Cat Club show, Sukimah Matilde was 2nd Best in Show overall, under USA Judge Ellyn Honey.

In March 2017 Gd Ch Sukimah Tahitian Pearl was awarded 2nd burmese cat to her father, Brookside Lilac Merlin, who was the Best Burmese in Show, at the 2017 Burmese Cat Society Annual Show.  The ring was judged by longtime Burmese Breeder and judge, Mrs Anne Skilling from New Zealand.

2016 The Burmese Cat Society of A'sia awards
Gl Db Gd Ch Brookside Lilac Merlin was 1st male cat of the year.
(As of Jan 2017 Merlin returned to Bev Jones).  At that time he had been awarded 9 CCC of A Awards - only 1 more was needed when he returned to Bev.  He gained the 10th award, rto make in a CCC of A Champion, shorty after returning to Bev.
Sukimah Evie (now owned by Bev Jones) was 3rd female kitten,
Gd Ch Sukimah Brinda Bella was 4th female kitten and also 3rd Female Cat
Sukimah Tahitian Pearl was 5th female kitten.
Sukimah Kimi (now owned by Mrs Tui Hampson) was 4th placed desexed kitten.
**  Well done, kids!!      Overall, a very good year for the Sukimah Clan

Gl Db Gd Ch Brookside Lilac Merlin was 2nd placed Group 3 male cat of the year

2015 NSW CFA Cat of the Year:

Brookside Lilac Merlin  3rd male kitten of the Year in Group 3

NSW CFA 2013 Cat of the Year placings:

Harry, our lilac boy was 5th male cat in Group 3.

2013 Burmese Cat Society of a'sia Cat of the year:
Sukimah by Harry was first male kitten of the year, with Ricway Jeddore 2nd male kitten.

Harry was also 3rd male Cat of the year.

Sukimah Lady Zaara gained 2nd place in Spay Cat,
with our lovely red girl, Poppy in 3rd place.

NSW CFA 2012 Cat of the Year placings:

Our late Gl Db Gd Ch Shambo Dusky Rose was awarded 3rd place in Group 3 Female Cat of the year, with her daughter, Sukimah Lady Zaara being awarded 4th female kitten in Group 3. Zaara will compete in Group 3 Spay Cats in 2013.

2012 Burmese Cat Society of A'sia Cat of the Year:

The Burmese Cat Society of A'sia Inc has awarded the Female Cat of the Year to our beautiful Gl Db Gd Ch Shambo Dusky Rose, with 2nd place being awarded to CCCA Ch and Gl Db Gd Ch Tuscan Sun (Poppy.)  Sukimah Lady Zaara was 2nd Female Kitten.  Because we are a small cattery, we are very proud of the success of our girls.

2011 Burmese Cat Society of A'sia Cat of the Year:

We are proud to be the home of The Burmese Cat Society of A'sia Inc 2011 Male Cat of the Year (Kiwi Custer) and the 2011 Female Cat of the Year (Tuscan Sun - (Poppy).

NSW CFA 2011 Cat of the Year placings:

Poppy is also the NSW CFA Inc 5th best Female Cat of the Year (this covers all group 3 cats - not only burmese).

In the month of July 2016,  at the St George & District Cat Club show, Sukimah Evie was awarded first in top 5 by judge Karen Moore.

At Western Districts show, under USA judge WayneTrevathan, Sukimah Brindabella was the best burmese exhibit in Female Cats 

At the Abysinnian Cat Club show held August 2016, Evie was awarded the supreme exhibit in Group 3 by judge Karen Moore.  Quite an achievement, for a kitten under 5 months of age.  Evie now lives with Bev and Dave Jones.  We are very proud of Evie.

We are very proud and excited to announce that Sl Db Gd Ch Brookside Lilac Merlin was awarded Supreme Burmese Exhibit at the Burmese Cat Society of A'sia's show held on 13th March 2016 and Forestville.  He was reserve supreme to the Supreme exhibit on the day.  Thank you both, Dianne Dolman and Bev Jones.

At the Burmese Cat Society of A'sia Show on 17th March, 2013, Harry, a lilac male kitten was 4th Best Exhibit in Show in Ring 3.  He was also Judge's Choice (R Watson)

* At the inaugural Cat Fanciers of NSW Inc State Show, held 1 April, 2012, Db Gd Ch Shambo Dusky Rose was awarded Supreme Exhibit -Pedigreed Cats.  We are very proud of Rose! Thank you Chris Merritt.

* At the 2012 Burmese Cat Society of A'sia Cat Show held at Forestville NSW on 18th March, we are very proud to announce that our baby kitten Sukimah Lady Zaara was 5th Best in show in Ring Two, awarded by Judge Peter Williams, and in Ring 3, Shambo Dusky Rose was Supreme Exhibit and Tuscan Sun (Poppy) was 3rd Best in show, awarded by under Judge Wendy Hamilton.  Rose was also the Best Brown Exhibit in the Specialty Ring for Brown and Lilac Exhibits.  Poppy was supreme exhibit in the Eye Colour and Shape class.  Well done girls!

At 2012 Bathurst Agricultural show Zaara was best kitten exhibit in Ring 3.

At 2012 Kempsey Kat Klub show Rose was judged Supreme exhibit.
